Following Fragrance Creation Foundation, the next stage in the learning journey is Techniques and Language of Perfumery. This advanced module is designed for participants who have successfully completed Module 1 and are ready to deepen their understanding of fragrance creation through a more structured and analytical approach.

As the natural progression in Rezenn Academy’s perfumery pathway, this module moves beyond foundational skills and introduces a more refined level of olfactory knowledge, creative development, and formulation practice. It forms part of a structured route to mastery for those who wish to develop stronger technical ability and a more professional understanding of perfumery.

In this module, participants examine a new selection of commercial fragrances and are introduced to a broader range of raw materials, including their origins, extraction methods, and olfactory roles in composition. The training also explores how fragrances can be developed from functional concepts and moodboards, reflecting the creative processes used in fragrance and branding agencies.

A key component of the program is hands-on formulation from concentrate rather than pre-made fragrance oils, allowing participants to engage directly with real perfumery practice. Students also gain deeper insight into major fragrance structures, including chypre, fougère, and oriental accords, through guided analysis and structured dissection.

In addition, selected case studies of international fragrance brands are discussed, covering their branding narratives, positioning, and sales and marketing strategies. This provides participants with a broader understanding of how perfumery connects with brand development and the commercial fragrance market.

Progression Requirement

This module is open only to participants who have completed Fragrance Creation Foundation (Module 1). The progression is designed to ensure all participants share a consistent foundation in olfactory skills, raw materials, and fragrance structure.

To maintain the quality and effectiveness of the training, direct entry into Module 2 is not offered. All participants are required to complete the foundation module, as the programme follows a specific methodology and structured learning pathway.
